Technical developments across machine learning systems: models, training and inference techniques, evaluation, and the tooling developers use to ship AI features.

How artificial intelligence signals are evaluated
The same Breakout Score applies to every topic, so scores are comparable across areas. What differs is which evidence is usually available — the questions below describe how that plays out here.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as an AI signal on Astrava?
A change a developer could act on: a new capability with a runnable artifact, a measurable efficiency gain, a shift in how teams build AI features, or a risk that affects shipped systems. Announcements without code, documentation or independent confirmation are held as unconfirmed.
How do you avoid ranking AI hype?
Every Breakout Score includes a hype penalty. Marketing superlatives in headlines, benchmarks that only the vendor has run, and discussion volume that outpaces evidence all subtract points. The penalty and its reasons are shown on each signal.
Are benchmark numbers verified?
Benchmarks are shown with their source and marked as self-reported or independent. Astrava does not re-run benchmarks; where no independent reproduction exists, the evidence section says so.
Methodology
How the Breakout Score is built
Nine factors add up to 100. Three are analyst judgements, five are measured from stored sources and time series, one is an estimate. A hype penalty of up to −15 is subtracted when attention runs ahead of evidence.
