Robot learning, simulation, control and the software stack for physical systems — with attention to results that are reproduced outside the lab that produced them.

How robotics signals are evaluated
The same Breakout Score applies to every topic, so scores are comparable across areas. What differs is which evidence is usually available — the questions below describe how that plays out here.
Frequently asked questions
Why are robotics signals often rated with longer time-to-impact?
Physical deployment adds hardware cost, safety validation and integration work. Even strong research results usually take longer to reach application developers than software-only changes.
What evidence carries the most weight in robotics?
Independent reproductions on different hardware, released checkpoints and training recipes, and benchmark suites with public protocols. Demonstration videos alone are treated as community-level evidence.
Methodology
How the Breakout Score is built
Nine factors add up to 100. Three are analyst judgements, five are measured from stored sources and time series, one is an estimate. A hype penalty of up to −15 is subtracted when attention runs ahead of evidence.
